The leather covers are made tight as all leather will stretch a little with use. The cross stitching is very strong and will withstand the initial stretch to slide it on the frame. For ease, always slide the two back pockets first, followed by one pocket for the base and then the last one. Do not slide the first base pocket all the way, that will give you some flexibility to stretch and pull the last pocket on the frame. Once all the pockets are on the frame slowly slide the cover completely on the frame, test it by placing pressure on each side to ensure it is fixed on the frame.
